AILET Cut off 2021 – The exam conducting body will release the admission cutoff of AILET 2021 at the time of counselling and seat allotment. The AILET 2021 cut off would be released separately for the BA LLB and the LLM program and indicate the minimum rank the candidate has to score to get admission to these courses. Any candidate who scores a rank ( marks) equivalent to or higher than the cutoff would get admission, whereas rest would be disqualified. To determine the AILET cutoff 2021 for a program, NLU Delhi will take into account a number of factors like the total number of applicants, seat intake for the program (for example, the BA LLB has 110 seats, and LLM has 70 seats), and also candidates performance in the pen-and-paper AILET 2021 exam. If any of these parameters change, the AILET 2021 cutoff would also change.
Factors that will determine the AILET cutoff 2021
- The seat intake for the program ( BA LLB / LLM)
- The number of candidates seeking admission to the program
- The performance of these applicants in the AILET 2021 entrance exam
- Category under which admission is sought (SC, ST, OBC, PwD, etc)
- The ranking of the institute, in this case NLU Delhi
Why does the ranking of the institute matter in AILET cut off 2021?
- As per NIRF Law Rankings 2020, NLU Delhi is the second best law college in the country.
- Being the second best law college in the country, understandably there are more applicants, which pushes up the cutoff.
- Also, it is not just the number, also qualitatively, more higher ranked candidates want to take admission in NLU Delhi, than say lower ranked institute. This also pushes the cut off higher.
- So, depending on where NLU Delhi stands in the ranking list, the AILET cut off would also be affected.
- For example, if its ranking dips, and say it goes outside the top 10, then fewer number of candidates would be interested to get admission into the institute. This will bring down the cutoff. But if it retains or improves its already superlative ranking, cutoffs would remain high.
