AILET Eligibility Criteria 2021 – NLU Delhi will release the eligibility criteria of AILET 2021 that the candidate has to meet for admission to the law courses offered by the institute. The AILET 2021 eligibility criteria will out the parameters, including qualifying exam passed, minimum marks, and number of attempts, that the applicant has to meet to be considered for admission. The AILET eligibility criteria 2021 will be different for the BA LLB and LLM program, so the candidate needs to refer to the eligibility criteria specific to the program they are applying for admission. Any candidate who fills the AILET application form 2021, but doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria, they may be disqualified at any stage of the admission process. NLU Delhi will conduct the AILET 2021 entrance exam tentatively in the 1st week of May. The exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode, will be of 90 minutes duration, and include 150 multiple choice questions.

The programme-wise eligibility criteria of AILET 2021 has been given below. Go through the points carefully before filling the application form. 

AILET Eligibility Criteria 2021 for BA LLB program / NLU Delhi BA LLB Eligibility Criteria 2021

Qualifying exam (QE) The applicant must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent from a recognized institute
Minimum marks in QE One must secure minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
Those appearing in the qualifying exam in exam exam If the candidate is appearing in/awaiting results of the qualifying exam, they are also eligible to appear in AILET 2021.

However, the candidates have to ensure their eligibility by the cutoff date as notified in the exam notification. 
Who is not eligible? Candidates placed in the compartment in the year of the admission are not eligible for admission.
Age limit No upper age limit for appearing in the exam 
Number of attempts No limit has been specified for taking the AILET 2020 exam.So, the candidate can appear the exam as many times as they want.

AILET Eligibility Criteria 2021 for LLM program / NLU Delhi LLM Eligibility Criteria 2021

Qualifying exam (QE) The applicant should have passed 3-year or 5-year LLB degree from a recognized institute
Minimum marks in QE One must secure minimum 55% marks in the qualifying exam.
Those appearing in the qualifying exam in exam exam Any candidate who is appearing in/awaiting results of the qualifying exam, they can take the AILET 2021.

Also, such candidates need to obtain their eligibility by the cutoff date as notified in the exam notification. 
Who is not eligible? Candidates placed in the compartment in the year of the admission are not eligible for admission.
Age limit No upper age limit has been specified for taking the AILET PG test.
Number of attempts No cap on number of attempts has been specified. So one may take the test as many times as they want.

AILET Application Form 2021

The online application form of AILET 2021 will be released by NLU Delhi sometime in the 3rd week of January. The AILET 2021 application form will be for admission to the BA LLB (110 seats) and LLM (70 seats) offered by the institute. The candidate may fill the application form after ascertaining their eligibility criteria. Candidates who successfully apply, will be issued AILET 2021 admit cards. As part of the application process, the candidate has to go through a multi-step process.  

Steps to fill the AILET application form 2021

  1. Registration – As part of the registration process, the applicant has to create a candidate account.
  2. FIll the applicant account – Next the candidate has to access the AILET application form 2021, select the course of study (UG / PG), test centre, and other details in the form.
  3. Payment of fee – Both offline and online payment modes are available.
  4. Uploading documents – including signature and photograph in the prescribed format
  5. Application submission – Submit the application before the last date.
