AILET 2021 – NLU Delhi will conduct the pen-and-paper based AILET 2021 entrance exam tentatively in the 1st week of May. The AILET 2021 entrance exam will be conducted for admission to the 5-year integrated BA LLB LLB and one-year LLM course offered by the institute. The AILET 2021-based seat intake for the two programs are: BA LLB – 110 seats and LLM – 70 seats. The AILET 2021 exam will be of 90 minutes duration and include 150 MCQs. The ONLINE application form of AILET 2021 will open tentatively in the 3rd week of January. Eligible candidates may fill the AILET application form 2021 and submit it before the last date. The AILET 2021 merit list for admission will be prepared based on marks obtained by candidates in the entrance exam, which will be used for shortlisting candidates for the counselling and seat allotment process. AILET Eligibility Criteria 2021

All applicants need to meet the eligibility criteria of AILET 2021 for the UG or PG programme they are seeking admission to. It is important to check one’s eligibility by consulting the official AILET eligibility criteria 2021. Only such candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered for admission.

AILET Eligibility Criteria 2021 for BA LLB program

  • Qualifying exam: The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent from a recognized institute 
  • Minimum marks in qualifying exam: The candidate needs to have secured a minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates appearing in/awaiting results of the qualifying exam may also apply. But note that such candidates are required to obtain their eligibility by the cutoff date which will be notified in the exam notification. 
  • Candidates placed in compartment in the year of the admission are not eligible for admission.

AILET Eligibility Criteria 2021 for LLM program

  • Qualifying exam: The candidate needs to have passed 3-year or 5-year LLB degree from a recognized institute 
  • Minimum marks in qualifying exam: The candidate needs to have secured minimum 55% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates appearing in/awaiting results of the qualifying exam can also appear in the AILET 2021 exam. But such candidates have to obtain their eligibility by the cutoff date as notified by the institute. 
  • Candidates placed in compartment in the year of the admission are not eligible for admission.

AILET Application Form 2021

The exam conducting body will release the AILET 2021 application form for admission to law courses at NLU Delhi tentatively in the 3rd week of January. Candidates will have to fill the AILET application form in online mode and submit it before the last date. Please note that every detail entered in the AILET 2021 application form will be verified during the document verification process, which is a part of the counselling process. So use only genuine and correct details to fill the AILET application form.

Steps to fill the AILET application form 2021

  1. Registration – To start the application process the candidate needs to first get registered and create an applicant account. In the AILET registration form, enter your name, email id, mobile number, and also select and confirm a password. Once the registration is complete, a unique applicant account will be created.
  2. Login to applicant account – Use the password and log-in details to login and access the AILET application form 2021.
  3. Payment of fee – The application fee is Rs. 3050 for general category candidates and has to be paid online.
  4. Uploading documents – In this step, the candidate will have to upload signature and photograph as per the prescribed format
  5. Application submission – Check that the application is complete in all respects before submitting it.

AILET Admit Card 2021

A key document for taking the national-level exam, the AILET 2021 admit card will be issued to all successfully applied candidates tentatively in the 4th week of April. The AILET admit card 2021 will carry test details like the candidate’s name and roll number, date and time of the exam, and allotted AILET exam centre 2021. In addition, the admit card of AILET 2021 will also contain exam-day guidelines that the candidate has to follow on the day of the exam for a smooth exam-day experience and to stay out of trouble. This includes bringing their admit cards and a photo id proof with them on the day of the exam, not taking barred items inside the exam hall, and similar other things.  

How to download AILET admit card 2021

  1. Go to the NLU Delhi admission portal
  2. Click on the AILET admit card 2021 download tab
  3. A log-in window will open
  4. Enter your name, application number, course and date of birth
  5. The AILET admit card will be displayed on screen
  6. Download and take a printout of the admit card.

AILET Exam Pattern 2021

The candidate can check out details related to AILET 2021 exam pattern on the admission portal of NLU Delhi; alternatively they may go through the points mentioned below. The AILET exam pattern 2021 documents the structure and format of the entrance exam, like mode, types of questions asked, marking scheme, etc. It is important to stay updated with the exam pattern, especially if there is a major event, like in the previous academic session. Last session, the exam was conducted in online mode in view of COVID-18, and multiple changes were made. For example, the exam was initially conceptualized as a remote-proctored mode, asking students to make arrangements for computer systems and other infrastructure, but later on reverted to online centre-based mode.

AILET Exam Centres 2021

The exam conducting body will conduct the AILET 2021 entrance exam across 20 cities in the country. Each of these cities may have one or more than one AILET 2021 exam centres. Please note that at the time of application, the candidate doesn’t need to select any AILET exam centre 2021, but only the city. The exam centre of AILET 2021 will be allotted based on the city selected by the candidate and their address. The name of the exam centre alloted and its address will be mentioned on the AILET admit card 2021.

AILET Syllabus 2021

Along with the exam, the candidate must also consult the AILET 2021 syllabus. It is because questions in the pen-and-paper exam will be conducted as per the official syllabus of AILET 2021 only.  So, when preparing for the AILET 2021 exam, one must study the topics mentioned in the syllabus and not diverge. The candidate by consulting the AILET 2021 syllabus will also get a sense of weightage carried by various topics, which can be used to improve scoring chances. 

AILET Answer Key 2021

The exam conducting authority will release a provisional answer key of AILET 2021 containing the answers to all questions asked in the entrance exam. The candidates by comparing their answers with those given in the AILET 2021 answer key will be able to calculate probable scores and thus their chances of admission. It may be noted that unofficial versions of CLAT 2021 answer keys may be published by various coaching institutes, but the keys released by NLU Delhi only will be considered as correct.

Any candidate who has any reservations regarding the AILET answer key 2021, they may challenge it following the given format and by the given date. The final answer key of AILET 2021 will be released after considering student grievances.

AILET Result 2021

NLU Delhi will declare the result of AILET 2021 for the BA LLB program tentatively in the 4th week of May 2021. The AILET 2021 result will be declared in online mode for all candidates who have appeared in the offline exam. To download the AILET 2021 result, the candidate has to go to the official portal and log-in by entering log-in credentials like name, roll number, application number, and date of birth. 

The AILET result 2021 would include details like the name and roll number of the candidate, sectional and overall marks obtained, and the qualifying status. 

Note that AILET result 2021 for LLM program will be released separately around the 2nd week of June.

AILET Merit List 2021

Such candidates who qualify in the exam will be included in AILET merit list 2021 and will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. The AILET 2021 merit list will be prepared by considering the marks of the entrance exam. In such a scenario where two or more candidates score the same marks, the AILET merit rank of candidates will be decided through tie-breaker.

AILET Counselling 2021

Candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam and included in the merit list will be issued call letters for AILET 2021 counselling, which will be conducted in offline mode. Eligible candidates will have to report for AILET counselling 2021 in person on the designated time and place. When reporting for AILET 2021 counselling, the candidate must be equipped with original and photocopies of all essential documents and photographs. Note that document verification will be done to confirm the information shared by the candidate at the time of filling the application form. Any candidate who is found to be sharing counterfeit information stands to be disqualified. 

The AILET seat allotment 2021 will be based on the merit rank of the candidate and choices opted by them. 

AILET Cutoff 2021

The exam conducting authority will release the cut off of AILET 2021 after each round of counselling. The AILET cut off 2021 is the minimum score one must secure for admission to the BA LLB or LLM program and will be category specific. So, for admission the candidate needs to secure marks (or rank) equivalent to or higher than the AILET cutoff 2021.
