Assam CEE 2020 – Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) has released a revised schedule of Assam CEE 2020. The exam will now be conducted on June 28; originally it was scheduled for April 26. Meanwhile, last date for submission of online Assam CEE application form has been extended to May 27. The pen-and-paper based Assam CEE 2020 entrance exam is conducted for admission to B.Tech courses offered at ASTU and other participating institutes in the state of Assam. The merit list for admission will be prepared based on marks obtained by candidates in Assam CEE exam. The offline OMR-based exam will be of 3 hours and include 120 MCQs. Assam CEE 2020 admit cards will be issued in online mode from June 10 onward. Important dates of Assam engineering exam 2020 will inform students about all upcoming events and changes in schedule so that they are ready. As per a notification on Assam CEE official website, Assam CEE 2020 has been postponed.

Assam CEE Eligibility Criteria 2020
Candidates desirous of admission to B.Tech courses in participating colleges are required to meet Assam CEE 2020 eligibility criteria. The detailed eligibility criteria is described below:
- Domicile – The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
- Qualifying exam – The candidate must have passed the 10+2 exam in a single sitting without grace marks with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
- Minimum marks in qualifying exam – General category candidates need minimum 50% marks, while SC candidates need 45% and ST candidates need 40% marks.
- Age limit: The Candidate must not be above 21 years or below 17 years of age as on August 1, 2020.
Relaxation in upper age limit: 1) Candidates who have passed BSc exam are eligible for relaxation of 1 year in upper age limit. 2) SC and ST candidates are eligible for 3-years relaxation.
- The candidate must be of good moral character.
- The candidate must be physically and mentally fit.
- The candidate finally needs to qualify the Assam CEE 2020 entrance exam.

Assam CEE Application Form 2020
ASTU has extended the last date to fill Assam CEE 2020 application to May 27. The Assam CEE application form 2020 is available in ONLINE mode only and must be filled by candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. When filling the online application, only factual and correct information must be used as otherwise the candidature of the applicant may be cancelled.
How to fill Assam CEE application form 2020
- Registration – To get registered, enter basic details like name, mobile number and email address, and create log-in password. On successful registration, application number will be created; note it down.
- Filling of application form – In this step, the candidate will have to enter contact, personal, and academic details, including percentage of qualifying exam. Another task that the candidate has to do is select a test centre from the available options.
- Uploading of documents – The candidate has to next upload scanned images of a recent passport sized colored photograph and signature. The specifications of documents to be uploaded in given in the table below:

Assam CEE Exam Centre 2020
The offline exam will be conducted across 9 Assam CEE exam centres. The candidate will have an option to select their preferred exam centre for Assam CEE 2020 at the time of filling the application form. The allotment of exam centres will be based on 1) exam centre option selected by the candidate 2) availability of seats.

Assam CEE Exam Pattern 2020

Assam CEE Answer Key 2020
Within a few days of the conduct of the exam, ASTU will release the provisional answer key of Assam CEE 2020. It will contain the official answers to all the 120 questions asked across the three subjects – Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. The candidate by consulting the provisional keys will be able to calculate probable scores and thus evaluate their chances of admission. If the candidate has any complaint regarding any keys mentioned on provisional Assam CEE 2020 answer key, they can regster their complaints online through the relevant link give on astu.ac.in. Also, to register complaints, the applicant has to pay a processing fee of Rs. Rs 500/- per question.
The final Assam CEE answer key 2020 will be published after considering all such complaints.
ASTU will declare the result of Assam CEE 2020 on July 13, after the release of the final answer key. The Assam CEE result 2020 will carry details like the marks secured, rank, category, qualifying status, name and roll number of the candidate.

Based on marks obtained by candidates in the Assam CEE exam, exam officials will prepare a merit list of Assam CEE 2020. Candidates who obtain higher scores will get a higher rank, while those with lower scores will get a lower rank in the merit list.

Tie-breaking procedure to decide merit rank
In the scenario two or more candidates obtaining the same scores in Assam engineering entrance exam, the merit rank will be decided in the following sequence:
- Higher marks in Mathematics
- Higher marks in Physics
- Higher marks in Chemistry
- If tie still persists, date of birth will be considered to decide the ranking.
Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) will not conduct the counselling of Assam CEE 2020. It role is only to conduct the Assam CEE 2020 exam. Instead, Assam CEE 2020 counselling will be conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam.
The counselling will be conducted in offline mode and will be open to such candidates who have qualifed in the pen-and-paper exam. Separate notifications pertaining to Assam CEE counselling schedule and relevant details will be published by DTE after declaration of result. Typically a total of three counselling rounds are held.
