BITSAT Exam Pattern 2020 – The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani has released the exam pattern of BITSAT 2020 that candidates must consult when preparing for the exam. As per exam pattern, the BITSAT 2020 exam will be conducted in Computer based Online Test mode for admission to integrated first degree programmes at the three BITS campuses – Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. BITSAT Exam Pattern 2020 – Analysis
- The candidate by consulting the exam pattern of BITSAT 2020 can get insights into how to prepare for the exam.
- For example, there are 150 questions and 180 minutes to answer those questions. So along with problem solving skills, one also needs to work on their speed.
- Another thing with such a large number of questions, one cannot afford to get stuck with any one particular question, as it will eat up training time.
- The smart thing to do would be to answer the easy questions first, then the moderate and finally the difficult ones.

- The merit list of BITSAT will be prepared based on scores in BITSAT 2020

BITSAT 2020 Exam Pattern – Additional Questions for Higher Score, but!
- In case the candidate manages to all 150 questions, and there is still some time left in the clock, they can attempt an additional 12 questions
- These questions will be from – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology only
- As per BITSAT 2020 exam pattern, each subject will contribute 4 questions
- Interestingly, however, if a candidate chooses to attempt these additional questions they cannot go back and make corrections to any of the other 150 questions.
- Attempting these additional questions, meritorious candidates can score higher
- But on the downside, there is negative marking for wrong answers.
- Different candidates will get different question sets.
- An expert committee will see to it that the question sets are of comparable difficulty level, content, question type etc.
BITSAT Syllabus 2020
Along with the exam pattern the candidate needs to follow the official BITSAT 2020 syllabus. It is because questions will be asked from within the syllabus only. As per the information given on the BITSAT information brochure, the syllabus for the exam will be the same as the NCERT syllabus for Class 11 and 12.
