CAT Admit Card 2020 – Exam officials will release the admit card of CAT 2020 in online mode through the official website. To download the CAT 2020 admit card, candidates need to enter their registration ID and password. An important document for appearing in the computer-based CAT 2020 entrance exam, the admit card will carry details like name and registration number of the candidate, the date, time and session of the exam, and CAT 2020 exam centre details. On exam day, the candidate also needs to bring with them a valid photo id proof. After downloading the CAT admit card 2020, the candidate needs to affix a photograph in the assigned space, which should be the same as the one uploaded during CAT 2020 registration. How to download CAT Admit Card 2020

  1. Go to iimcat.ac.in
  2. Click on the CAT 2020 admit card download link
  3. The candidate will be redirected to a log-in window
  4. Enter CAT login ID and password
  5. The admit card will be displayed on screen
  6. Download and take a printout of the CAT 2020 admit card. 

Note: The candidate needs to confirm if information mentioned on the CAT 2020 admit card is correct and legible. For example, check how your name is spelled, whether the photo given is the correct one, whether the test center falls in the city you have selected at the time of CAT 2020 registration, or if your category is mentioned correctly. 

If there is any discrepancy, the candidate needs to get in touch with CAT exam officials and get it rectified at the earliest.

Documents to carry on CAT 2020 Exam Day

On the day of the CAT 2020 exam, the candidate must carry the following documents with them:

  • CAT 2020 admit card
  • A photo ID proof, which could be any of the following documents: 
    • Aadhaar Card
    • Passport
    • Voter ID
    • College ID proof
    • Driving license

CAT 2020 exam day guidelines 

The candidate needs to follow a certain protocol in the day of the exam, including not carrying illegal items, reaching the exam venue on time, and not adopting unfair means, as explained below.

Particular CAT 2020 exam day guidelines
Admit Card The candidate needs to print the CAT 2020 admit card on an A4 size paper using a laser printer. Candidates must note the photograph and signature images should be legibly printed, or else the admit card will be deemed invalid.The photograph attested on the admit card must be the same as the one uploaded at the time of CAT 2020 registration.The candidate has to produce the admit card for taking the CAT test.The admit card will only be valid for the test date and time as mentioned on the “Test Day Details” section.
Valid photo ID proof The candidate will be required to bring with them a valid photo ID proof, which may be any of Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, College ID proof, Driving license
Reporting times 7.30 am for the forenoon session1 pm for the afternoon session
No candidate will be allowed after 8.45 am for forenoon and 2.15 for forenoon session. 
Items allowed inside exam hall Only admit card and photo ID proofs are allowed. 
Items like writing pad and pen will be provided to the candidate for doing rough work, which have to be returned after the test. The candidate has to clearly mention their name and registration number on the pad. 
Items not allowed inside exam hall Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, watches, calculators, stationery items, papers, wallets, goggles, jackets, etc. are not allowed,
Jewellery and metal items are also not allowed. Also note, the candidate will be asked to remove their jackets and footwear before entering the exam hall. 
Safekeeping facility Authorities will not provide any such facility, nor will it be responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings of candidates. 
General Guidelines Any candidate appearing in the CAT 2020 exam two or more times will be disqualified.Friends and relatives accompanying the candidate will not be allowed inside the CAT 2020 exam centre.Request for change in CAT 2020 test center will not be entertained.
