How to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 – The Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) will conduct the Assam CEE 2021 entrance exam. There are some 1300+ B.Tech seats that will be filled based on Assam CEE scores, but the number of test takers is many times higher. This means competition is fierce, and one needs to know how to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 to get a good score in the exam. And speaking of preparation for Assam CEE 2021, the candidate ought to know about basic details like syllabus, exam pattern, etc. Once the candidate has learned what the Assam CEE exam is all about, they can start preparing for the various subjects. In this article on how to prepare for the Assam CEE 2021, we discuss various preparation strategies, study hours, and other essential tidbits.

How to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 – Tips

The candidate needs to follow the tips mentioned below to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 entrance exam.

How to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 – Follow the right syllabus

The Assam CEE 2021 syllabus will be the same as the one prescribed for the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) exam. But the similarities end there because the difference between the two is vast. For one, there are only a handful of B.Tech seats that are available. Also, the questions asked in Assam CEE exam is of a higher level then those asked in the AHSEC exam.

Another major difference is if a candidate doesn’t fare very well in AHSEC exam, even then they may get admission in some college. In contrast, if the candidate fails to meet the Assam cutoff for a course and college, they are out of the B.Tech admission process.

So, the candidate mustn’t get lulled into a comfort zone simply by the fact that the two syllabi are the same.

How to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 – Get accustomed to the exam pattern

As per Assam CEE exam pattern, the exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper based mode. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours, and include 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Questions in the exam will be asked from – physics, chemistry and mathematics. These details are vital for making Assam CEE exam preparation strategy, and bring it in tune with exam requirements which will increase its effectiveness. So, the candidate needs to go through the Assam CEE 2021 exam pattern carefully.

How to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 – Make a study plan

Once the candidate knows what is in the syllabus and has checked out the exam pattern, the next step is to make a study plan. The first thing that immediately comes to mind when talking of a study plan is how long should one study; many even want to know is there is a magic number like, say, study for 9 or even 10 hours for success. But in reality there is no such thing as one size fits all study hours. It is because each of us is different and have different capabilities. This means while some of us may be comfortable studying for 10+ hours a day, others may burn out just after 8 hours of study. So, the candidate needs to listen to their bodily limitations.

It is also important to note that it is not just about racking up the hours, but rather putting together quality hours.

As for the topics included in the syllabus, the candidate must give more attention to difficult topics, though not at the cost of ignoring easier topics.

How to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 – Do (timely) revision

Each topic that the candidate has recently prepared should be duly revised. Typically the more difficult is a topic, the more frequent revision it will demand. To aid in faster revision, it is recommended that the candidate makes it a habit to take notes of all important points and also formulas.

How to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 – Solve samples papers

There is frequently a debate as to when one should start solving Assam CEE sample papers. The answer is Assam CEE sample papers can be solved from the start, like one sample paper a week. In fact together with Assam CEE 2021 sample papers, one must also solve previous year’s question papers. Solving these sample and question papers will help the candidate hone his or her problem solving skills. It can also help clarify concepts and teach the candidate how various concepts need to be used.

Most good books will have problem sets given at the end of a topic. Make sure that you solve these problems without fail. Remember, solving these questions will help understand the topic better and clarify doubts.

How to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 – Take Assam CEE mock tests

For example, CLAT and MH CET law conduct mock tests. By taking these mock tests, the candidate will understand the technical details of the exam, including navigation and how to mark or unmark a question. Also, taking these mock tests regularly can help the candidate improve their speed and accuracy.

What is a good time to take mock tests: At the initial stage the candidate may do one or two mock tests a day in the early phase of Assam CEE exam preparation. But once the exam is about to just commence, one can take up to a dozen or more mock tests a week.

How to prepare for Assam CEE 2021 – Keep an eye on the Assam CEE cutoff

The candidate must always have a target, like the score or rank they want to secure. Because it will instill enthusiasm and give energy to the Assam CEE preparation. As to what kind of target one must try to achieve can be decided by consulting previous years Assam CEE cutoff. The cutoff being the last rank for admission, anything below it is not acceptable. In fact, the candidate scores a few notches above the Assam CEE cutoff score to have a fair chance of admission to their chosen college or course.
