KCET Eligibility Criteria 2021 – Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will release the eligibility criteria of KCET 2021 for the various programmes, including for B.Tech programme, on its information brochure. The KCET 2021 eligibility criteria will outline the minimum conditions the candidate has to fulfill in order to be considered for admission. It may however be noted that simply meeting the KCET eligibility criteria 2021 is no guarantee for admission, as the KCEt 2021 merit list will be prepared based on other parameters like KCET 2021 entrance exam scores; in some cases also qualifying exam scores will also be considered. Then there is the B.Arch program, for which no entrance exam will be conducted as admission is based on JEE Main (Paper 2) or NATA scores. KCET Eligibility Criteria 2021 – General

Passing universities The candidates must have passed qualifying examination from universities listed in the notification at VTU WebsiteAlso, candidates who have passed from Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) are NOT eligible

KCET Eligibility Criteria 2021 – Qualifying exam and minimum marks

Programme Eligibility Criteria
Architecture course(B.Arch) The candidate needs to have passed 2nd PUC, 10+2 or equivalent exam with English scoring minimum 50% marks in aggregate and also individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates and person with disability need only 45% marks in aggregate and in the subjects individually
B.E. / B.Tech The candidate must have passed 2nd PUC, 10+2 or equivalent exam with English and scored minimum 45% marks in aggregate and also individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates and person with disability need only 40% marks in aggregate and in the subjects individually
B-Pharma The candidate must have passed 2nd PUC, 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Biology) scoring 45% marks in aggregate. 
SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates and persons with disability need only 40% marks in aggregate.
Or,
Passed Diploma in Pharmacy securing minimum of 45% marks.
SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates and persons with disability need only 40% marks in aggregate.
Naturopathy & Yoga The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with English and scored minimum 50% marks in aggregate and also individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates and person with disability need only 40% marks in aggregate

Age Criteria: Candidates seeking admission to B.Pharma, Pharma-d and Naturopathy & Yoga courses should be minimum 17 years of as on December 31, 2021

Documents to be produced:

  1. SSLC / 10th standard mark sheet
  2. 2nd PUC / 10+2 marks sheet
  3. Study Certificate;
  4. Rural Study Certificate from Class 1-10 (if applicable)
  5. Kannada Medium Study Certificate from Class 1-10  (if applicable)
  6. Caste (Income) certificate
  7. Any other document prescribed by admission officials. 

KCET Merit List 2021

Exam officials will use different methodology for preparing the KCET 2021 merit list for various courses as shown in the table below.

Program How is merit list prepared
B.Tech The merit list will be prepared by giving equal weightage to marks obtain in:

10+2 exam
PCM score in KCET 2021 
B.Arch No entrance exam will be conducted for the programme. Instead, the KCET merit list will be prepared baked on: 
NATA scores
JEE Main Paper 2 scores
B.Pharm The merit list will be prepared on the basis of:
Scores in PCM or PCM subjects (whichever is higher) in KCET 2021 
Naturopathy & Yoga The merit list for admission will be prepared by giving equal weightage to qualifying exam and entrance exam scores.
