MET Eligibility Criteria 2020 – The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will release the eligibility criteria of MET 2020 for admission to B.Tech courses offered by participating institutes. MET eligibility criteria 2020 will be released in online mode alongside the admission notification and will represent the minimum conditions that applicants need to satisfy to be considered for admission. Among the important conditions one has to satisfy include that of qualifying exam passed, subject combination in 10+2, and minimum aggregate marks. It may however be noted that simply meeting the MET 2020 is not enough for admission, as allotment of seats will be based on MET 2020 marks; note that MET exam was previously known as MU OET. MET Eligibility Criteria 2020   

To be considered for admission to B.Tech courses in MET participating institutes, one must fulfill following MET 2020 eligibility criteria.

Parameter Eligibility criteria
Qualifying exam The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects and Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subject as optional.
Minimum marks The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in Physics,  Mathematics, and one of the optional subjects taken together.
Age criteria No minimum age limit has been specified
Nationality Candidates can apply under following categories:
General – Indian nationals fall under this category.Foreign/NRI categories
Admission process Based on merit of MET 2020 score

Candidates who qualify in the MET 2020 exam and are included in the merit list will be considered for admission at the following institutes.

  • Manipal University, Jaipur 
  • Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim

MET Application Form 2020

MAHE will release the online application form of MET 2020 in online mode around the 1st week of October. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may proceed to fill the MET 2020 application form. To fill the form, the candidate will need a valid email id and mobile number.

How to fill MET 2020 application form

  1. Online registration – Enter email ID and mobile number, and course you want to apply for admission to. Also select a password for the new candidate account.
  2. Filling of the application form – In this section the candidate has to enter personal information name, gender, date of birth, etc. The candidate will also be required to upload photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

  1. Course selection – In this section, the candidate must enter their educational qualification, last attended institute, and board/university. Also, select the program you want to apply for. Finally select MET 2020 test centre location and proceed to fee payment.
  2. Payment of fees – The application fee is Rs. 600 and entrance fee is Rs. 1400, for a sub-total of Rs. 2000. The fee has to be paid in online mode. 
  3. Submit the application form after ensuring that the MET 2020 application form is complete in all respects.
