NEET 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the pen & paper-based NEET 2020 exam on July 26. The NEET 2020 application correction facility, which was extended one last time in view of hardships faced by candidates due to COVID-19, closed on 31. The NEET 2020 admit card, which is an essential document for appearing in the exam, will be released soon. The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the NTA for admission into MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses in medical/dental colleges in India. Following Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, NEET UG is the only entrance test for admission to undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions, including AIIMS and JIPMER.

NEET Application Correction 2020 – Extended Window

The application correction facility has been extended to accommodate students who couldn’t make the corrections on account of COVID-19. Many of these students have either been:

  1. Forced to leave their hostels (which have been closed due to coronavirus) and move back to their parents’ place or seek residence elsewhere.
  2. In such a scenario, some details entered in the NEET 2020 application form have changed, including the communication addresses.

Any additional fee that may be incurred for making the changes in the application form can be paid using credit, debit, net banking, UPI and PAYTM.

NEET 2020 Postponed

  1. In view of the COVID-19 epidemic, NTA has postponed the NEET (UG) 2020 exam from May 3.
  2. The exam will now be conducted on July 26.

NEET Admit Card 2020

The National Testing Agency (NTA) had notified NEET admit card 2020 will be released after April 15; originally it was slated to be released on March 27. The admit card of NEET 2020 will be released in online mode and can be downloaded by logging into the admit card download portal entering application number and date of birth. An essential document for sitting in the NEET 2020 exam, the admit card will carry vital details like date and time of the exam, name and address of the exam centre, and reporting time and gate closing time.   

How to download NEET admit card 2020

The NEET admit will be available in online mode only. To download it, follow the steps given below:

  1. Click on the NEET admit card link (will be updated here once it is released)
  2. Click on “NEET admit card 2020” option
  3. Fill in application number, date of birth and security code
  4. Click on the “Submit” button
  5. On successful login, the admit card will be displayed on screen

Download the NEET 2020 admit card, and take a printout after checking that details mentioned on it are correct.

What documents to carry on exam day?

  1. NEET admit card 2020
  2. A passport-sized photograph (should be same as the one uploaded with the application form)
  3. A valid photo Id proof (Aadhar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter Id)

NEET Exam Pattern 2020

The exam pattern of NEET 2020 outlines the structure and nature of the exam. The candidate by referring to the NEET 2020 exam pattern will get to know in what mode the exam is conducted, time limit, marking scheme, types of questions asked, subjects covered, etc. This information will enable the candidate for the exam with a clear vision; for example as per the NEET exam pattern only MCQs are asked in the exam, so there is no point wasting time on subjective questions.

In such a scenario where a question is dropped/ ignored, all candidates will be awarded four marks (+4) irrespective of whether the question has been attempted by the candidate or not attempted by the candidate.

NEET Result 2020

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the result of NEET 2020 after completion of the national-level exam. The original result date was June 4, but it has since been indefinitely postponed. NEET 2020 results would be available in the form of a scorecard and merit list. Applicants would be able to check the NEET result from the official website, ntaneet.nic.in by entering their application number and password; the link to check the result would also be updated on this page once it is released.

Admission to 15% All India Quota seats and 85% State Quota Seats will be done based on NEET 2020 scores. In addition, NEET scores will also be used by Deemed and Central Universities, AIIMS and JIPMER for admission purposes. 

How to check NEET 2020 result

  1. Go to the official website ntaneet.nic.in
  2. Click on the “View NEET (UG)- 2020 Result” tab
  3. A log-in window will open
  4. Enter roll number, date of birth, and security pin displayed on screen
  5. On log-in, NEET 2020 result would appear on-screen in the form of a scorecard.

Download and take a printout of the NEET 2020 scorecard.

NEET Counselling 2020

MCC/DGHS will conduct NEET UG 2020 counseling for 15% AIQ, 100% Deemed Universities, Central Universities (Delhi University, AMU & BHU including Institutional/ Domicile Quota), ESIC & AFMS & 100% seats of VMMC & SJH (15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota ). 15% AIQ would include seats in all government colleges (except for colleges in the UT of J&K and Ladakh). Counselling for 85% State Quota seats will be organized separately by the respective state authorities.

The counselling of NEET 2020 for 15% AIQ will start around the 3rd week of June and will be conducted in online mode. 

To be eligible for participation in the counselling process, the applicant must meet the NEET qualifying criteria and must have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their NEET UG rank.
