NEET Cutoff 2020 – Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the NEET Cutoff 2020 for 15% All India Quota seats. Meanwhile, respective state counselling authorities will release the NEET cut off 2020 for admission to remaining 85% state quota seats. The cut off would represent the minimum rank candidates have to score in their respective categories for admission to medical or dental programs. The NEET 2020 cutoff would be determined for all participating institutes. Also, note that the NEET qualifying cutoff and admission cutoff are not the one and the same thing, as the former simply specifies a percentile one has to secure in the NEET 2020 exam to be eligible for participation in counselling and seat allotment. Meanwhile, to determine the admission cut off of NEET 2020, MCC will take into account seat capacity, merit rank of candidate in NEET 2020, and total number of applicants.
NEET Expected Cut off 2020

What is NEET Qualifying percentile?
- The NTA in the information book for the NEET 2020 entrance exam has specified category-wise minimum percentile that one has to secure to qualify in the exam.
- Candidates who secure the prescribed percentile or above in the entrance exam will be considered to have qualified in the entrance exam.
- Consequently they are eligible for participation in All India Counselling conducted by the MCC or state counselling conducted by the respective states,
- However those candidates who fail to score the prescribed percentile in their respective categories will be disqualified from further admission process; meaning they won’t be allowed to participate in either state or All India Counselling.
- Please also note that simply securing the NEET qualifying percentile won’t guarantee an MBBS or BDS seat.
- It is because seat allotment will depend on the NEET 2020 merit rank of the candidate, and other factors like available seats, the category of the candidate, and quota.

What are various factors for deciding NEET Cutoff 2020 for MBBS/BDS program
To determine the NEET cutoff for admission to a medical or dental program, following points will be considered.
- The number of candidates applying for admission to the program and institute
- The performance of these applicants in the NEET 2020 entrance exam
- The seat intake for the program
- The category (SC, ST, PwD, etc) of the candidate
- NIRF Medical Ranking 2020 if the candidate is applying to a medical program and NIRF Dental Ranking 2020 if candidate is seeking admission to a dental program
Please note that higher ranked medical/dental colleges will receive more number of applications, which will ensure cutoff is higher. For example, there are more number of candidates who want to get admission into AIIMS New Delhi than say a lower ranked institute.
