NIRF Ranking 2020 – Top Management Colleges in India: The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has released the list of top management schools in the country on June 11. The NIRF Management Rankings 2020 is topped by IIM Ahmedabad, followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta at number 2 and 3 positions. A total of 75 colleges have been included in the NIRF Ranking 2020 – Management category. The IIMs had six institutes inside the top top and a total of 14 institutes in the list. Among the states, Tamil Nadu had a maximum of 10 institutes in the top 75. 

The NIRF Rankings of top management colleges 2020 is prepared based on five parameters: 

1. Teaching and Learning Resources
2. Research and Professional Practice
3. Graduation Outcome
4. Outreach and Inclusivity
5. Perception. 

Please note that each of these parameters carry a different weightage; explained in detail below.

NIRF Management Ranking 2020 – Key Highlights

1. A total of 75 b-schools have been listed in NIRF Rankings 2020 for Management category.     
2. IIM Ahmedabad tops rankings: The institute has snatched the crown back from IIM Bangalore, which has been pushed down to number two spot.
3. Top 3: IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore are followed in third place by IIM Calcutta.
4. Top 5: The other two institutes in the top five are IIM Lucknow in fourth and IIT Kharagpur in 5th. 
5. 6 IIMs inside top 10:  IIM Ahmedabad – 1, IIM Bangalore – 2, IIM Calcutta – 3,  IIM Lucknow – 4, IIM Kozhikode – 6, and IIM Indore – 7
6. Total 14 IIMs in the list: Considering there are 20 IIMs in India, six IIMs failed to meet the cut. 
7. Ten IITs made the list: A total of ten 10 IITs made it to the top 75 list for Management category published by the NIRF. IIT Kharagpur, Delhi and Bombay are the top three and ranked 5, 8 and 11 respectively. 
8. States with maximum representations: Maharashtra – 10, Tamil Nadu – 8, Delhi – 7, Gujarat – 4, Karnataka – 4, Punjab – 4, West Bengal – 3, Odisha – 3.
