The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has released the NIRF Rankings 2020 for the top universities in Assam. In the NIRF Universities Ranking 2020, three universities from Assam were ranked inside the top 100; which is one less than all previous editions when Assam always had four universities in the list. The three ranked universities are Tezpur University at 39th rank, Gauhati University at 47th place, and Dibrugarh University at 84th place. Assam University, which was ranked 97 in last rankings, however didn’t qualify for inclusion in the top 100.
