What is the Written Ability Test (WAT) of SLAT 2021?
The SLAT 2021 question paper will have two parts:
- Part I – Will include objective-type (multiple choice) questions
- Part II – The second part will have subjective essay questions; this part is called the Written Ability Test (WAT).
Interestingly, the WAT will be evaluated only if the candidate has qualified in Part I (or the MCQ-based section of the question paper).

Salient features of SLAT exam pattern 2021
- The question papers of exams like CLAT and AILET have a dedicated Mathematics section.
- However, SLAT doesn’t have a mathematics section. Instead, it has an Analytical Reasoning section.
- The difficulty level of SLAT can be considered as moderate to difficult, compared to the CLAT and AILET, which are considered among the toughest law entrance exams in the land.
- When preparing for the SLAT 2021 entrance exam, one must make it a point to solve sample papers. At the beginning one can start with solving one SLAT 2021 sample paper a week, but the frequency can be increased gradually.
- SLAT mock tests are also a vital cog in exam preparation. One may even take mock tests of other exams like CLAT, AILET and MH CET law to prepare for the exam.
- Along with the exam pattern, one must also go through the SLAT 2021 syllabus to get insight into which topic is important and which is not, and weightage carried by various topics.
SLAT application form 2021
SIU will release the online application form of SLAT 2021 tentatively in the 4th week of January. The SLAT 2021 application form may be filled by candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria; completed applications need to be submitted before the last date. As part of the application process, one needs to get registered, select the course of study, enter three SLAT exam centres 2021 in the order of priority, upload documents and pay the application fee.
Successful applied candidates will be issued SLAT 2021 admit cards for the online exam.
