WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2021 – West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will notify candidates about WBJEE 2021 eligibility criteria through the information bulletin, which will be uploaded on the official exam website: wbjeeb.nic.in. Eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2021 outlines the conditions candidates must fulfill for admission to engineering, technology, architecture and pharmacy courses in various institutes in the state. Among important WBJEE eligibility criteria 2021 one must meet include that of qualifying exam passed, minimum marks, English and domicile requirements. Note that domicile requirement is a must for admission to state or state-sponsored institutes and reserved-category seats. Once the candidate is satisfied with their eligibility, they may proceed to fill the WBJEE application form 2021. The WBJEE 2021 will be an OMR-based exam that will be conducted tentatively in the 1st week of February.

WBJEE 2021 Residential and Domicile Requirements
- NOT REQUIRED for APPEARING in WBJEE 2021 exam
However, the following conditions apply:
- CONDITION 1: If you want to get admission into any government aided engineering, technology, pharmacy colleges and Jadavpur University, you need to fulfill State Residential / Domicile Requirement.
- CONDITION 2: If you are applying for admission to reserved category seats (SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD, TFW), then also you need to meet state domicile requirements.
What are criteria to be treated as domicile of West Bengal and applicable proforma of certificate?
- The candidate must be residing in the state at least for last 10 years as on December 31, 2020, OR
- Wards of parents who are permanent residents of West Bengal and have permanent address in the state,

Participating Institutes and Scope of Admission
- State funded, state-aided universities, university departments: 100% seats will be filled through WBJEE 2021. Further, in case of Jadavpur University, 90% seats of the General Seats are earmarked for state domicile candidates.
- Government engineering and Technology colleges (G): 100% seats will be filled through WBJEE 2021.
- Private and self-financing colleges (PU): The number of seats available through WBJEE 2021 will be notified in the Seat Matrix that will be published before counselling and admission.
- Private and self-financing engineering and technology colleges (P): 90% seats will be filled through WBJEE 2021. The remaining 10% seats will be filled through JEE Main 2021. Further, admission to management quota seats is not through Wbjee.
- Private and self-financing engineering and technology colleges – Minority Institutions: 50% seats will be filled through WBJEE 2021 and will be OPEN to candidates belonging to ALL categories.
