WBJEE 2021 – West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct the OMR-based WBJEE 2021 exam for admission to UG engineering & technology, pharmacy and architecture courses in educational institutes in West Bengal. WBJEE 2021 will have two papers: Paper I (Mathematics) and Paper II (Physics and Chemistry). Those appearing in both Paper I and II are eligible for admission to engineering and technology, architecture and pharmacy courses, while for admission to pharmacy courses one needs to appear in only Paper II. Duration of both paper I and II will be 2 hours each, while questions will be multiple choice type. Application form of WBJEE 2021 will open in online mode around 3rd week of December. Such candidates who meet WBJEE eligibility criteria 2021 may duly fill the form and submit it before the last date. For admission, two separate merit ranks will be prepared – 1) General Merit Rank (GMR) considering marks of paper I and II, and 2) Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) considering marks of paper II only for admission to pharmacy courses only.

WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2021
Candidates seeking admission to engineering and technology, architecture and pharmacy courses through WBJEE need to ensure they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, which may pertain to domicile, minimum academic requirements, and nationality requirements.

WBJEE Application Form 2021
The online application form of WBJEE 2021 will be released tentatively in the 3rd week of December for admission to various courses like engineering, technology, architecture, and pharmacy courses offered by education institutes in West Bengal.
How to fill WBJEE application form 2021
- Online registration – At the time of registration, the candidate will have to enter details like name, gender, date of birth, email id, contact number, etc. The candidate will also have to select and confirm a password for the applicant account.
- Filling of the application form – In this step, the candidate will have to enter academic and also personal details. The candidate will also have to select THREE exam zones and the course applied for admission.
- Uploading of photograph and signature – Documents have to be uploaded as per the specification specified in the table below:

WBJEE Exam Pattern 2021
Any candidate taking the state-level exam needs to consult the WBJEE exam pattern to get insights into the structure and format of the exam. Take for example, the WBJEE exam will have three papers – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. But Mathematics will carry the same weightage as Physics and Mathematics combined. So, one needs to pay more attention to Mathematics to get a good score in the exam.

WBJEE Exam Centre 2021
The offline-based WBJEE 2021 exam will have exam centres at all the 23 districts of the state. Each district will have one or more zones, which will have WBJEE exam centres. The candidates at the time of filling the WBJEE 2021 application form, only have to select their district and zone. The allotment of WBJEE exam centre 2021 will be made on the choices, details of which can be checked in the WBJEE admit card. In addition to West Bengal, there will also be exam centres in Silchar (Assam) and Agartala (Tripura).

WBJEE Syllabus 2021
The exam conducting body will inform candidates on WBJEE 2021 syllabus through the information brochure. The WBJEE syllabus will contain details on the subject-wise topics and sub-topics the candidate needs to follow when preparing for the exam. The WBJEE question exam will have two papers:
- Paper I – Mathematics
- Paper II – Physics and Chemistry
Candidates seeking admission to engineering, technology, architecture and medical courses need to appear in both Paper I and II; so they need to refer to the WBJEE 2021 syllabus for all three subjects – physics, chemistry and mathematics.

WBJEE Admit Card 2021
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will release the admit card of WBJEE 2021 sometime in January. The WBJEE 2021 admit card will be released in online mode for all candidates who have duly filled the application form and paid the exam fee. An important document for sitting in the OMR-based exam, the WBJEE admit card will carry such details like the name and roll number of the applicant, date and time of WBJEE exam, and venue details. Note that on the day of the exam, one needs to bring with them a valid photo id proof along with the admit card.

WBJEE Result 2020
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will declare the result of WBJEE 2021 sometime in March and on its official website: wbjeeb.nic.in. The WBJEE result would be declared in the form of rank cards, which will contain such details like the sectional and overall score, rank and qualifying status of the candidate.
To check their WBJEE 2021 results, the candidate has to click on the result link and login by entering their application number and password.
The candidate needs to download and take a printout of WBJEE rank card 2021, as it will be required at the time of counseling and seat allotment.
WBJEE Merit Rank 2021
Admission officials of WBJEE will prepare TWO types of Merit Ranks for admission to various undergraduate courses:
General Merit Rank (GMR) of WBJEE 2021
- The GMR will be prepared by considering the total score obtained in Paper I and Paper II.
- Candidates included in the GMR will be eligible for admission to engineering, technology, architecture and pharmacy courses in all institutes.
Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) of WBJEE 2021
- The PMR will be prepared based on marks obtained by the candidate in paper-II only, i.e. Physics and Chemistry
- Candidates included in the PMR will be considered for admission to Pharmacy courses only (with the exception of Jadhavpur University).
WBJEE Counselling 2020
The counselling of WBJEE 2021 will be conducted in online mode tentatively in March 2021. Candidates who are included in the General Merit Rank (GMR) or Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) will be invited to take part in the WBJEE 2021 counselling session.
To participate in the WBJEE counselling process:
- eligible candidates need to get registered online, fill the WBJEE counselling form 2021, upload necessary documents, and verify entered details.
- In the next step, the candidate will have to participate in the choice filling and locking process, wherein one has to enter one’s choice of colleges and courses. All entries should be in the order of preference.
The seat allotment of WBJEE 2021 will be on the basis of merit rank (GMR or PMR) of the candidate and choices selected. Candidates who have been allotted seats will be issued online WBJEE seat allotment letters, which have to be downloaded by the candidate; also take a printout of the allotment letter.
The allotment letter has to be produced at the allotted institute when reporting for admission, along with originals and photocopies of other documents.
